Hi There!

I’m Irene! The last time I had a blog was back in circa 2000s when Xanga had come out. I was obsessed with the TV series Alias so naturally Michael Vartan was the background wallpaper to said Xanga. It was also the beginning of the Internet, in my household at least, so using the Internet required detailed planning to hold up the phone line and allow us the privilege of hanging out with friends on AIM.

It’s been a while since I’ve journaled, to say the least, but this year, I’m about to go through a life changing bone marrow transplant, and I thought this would be a good time to start documenting my journey.

While my transplant journey and the health challenges I face will be a big part of this blog, I would like to think I’m a multifaceted human being. I am a pharmacist by training, and I’m also a patient. I was an educator in a past life, and I’m also a life long student.

I’m one of those people that can’t sit still, so you might find some adult arts and crafts ranging from wood working to sewing to random house projects sprinkled in here or there.

I also love traveling so perhaps I’ll do some writing on the travels I’ve done (and hopefully in the future, the ones I will be doing when I’m healthy!)

Life’s kind of a crazy journey, and I’d love to bring you along with me. Thanks for reading my rambles!

I'm Ready, Let's Talk

I’m happy to talk science through the lens of a pharmacist or talk about my experiences as a patient.
